RULES APPLYING TO THE GROUP'S ANNUAL BIRDRACE

1. Teams should consist of four members, either pre-arranged or made up on the day.
2. The minimum size of team is three. If an odd number of members turn up, i.e. 15, this would give us three teams of four and one team of three.
3. Three members out of four member team must see/hear any bird species. For a team of three, only two out of three members must see/hear any bird species.
4. Only group members may take part, unless previous arrangement has been made with adjudicator.
5. The Birdrace will start and finish at Knights Hill Village Hotel; 08.00 - 16.30.
(This means no early starts and no late finishes!).
6. The adding of birds to lists after 16.30 will not be allowed, as lists should be kept up to date throughout the day.
7. In the interest of safety on the roads all speed limits will be adhered to.
8. Where possible, when stopping to look at birds, please pull off the road and be thoughtful to other road users.

It is only a fun day out but rules are needed to ensure there is no, or a minimum of, doubt at the conclusion of the day.
Just go out and have fun.
